I never wear heels so I’m really not looking forward to wearing them for my wedding. I was thinking of wearing a cute flip flop but you can’t really dance in them. I’m 5’3 and my Fiance is 6’1. A little height wouldn’t hurt me but I do not want to be uncomfortable all day/night and I dont want to trip and fall on my face because I’m not used to wearing heels. I also don’t want to walk around my house for a week in them before the wedding to get used to them…

Hey Sunshine – there’s no rule that says you have to wear heels. Why don’t you look for a pair of embellished ballet flats? They’re comfortable, danceable, and cute. 🙂

I went to a dance store and bought ballroom dance shoes (~$70). They have steel in the arch which is very supportive. I usually have a lot of trouble with heels due to bunions and weak ankles, but I had no trouble in these shoes. The bottom of the shoes are suede though, so you can’t wear them outside unless you either add a leather sole on (not too hard at a shoe repair shop) or don’t care about ruining the suede.
