I need some help from some creative bees!
Our favors are going to be personalized m&m’s and the reason behind it is because my fiance proposed by writing will you marry me on m&m’s. However the majority of our guests do not know this and I would love to share it with them in a creative way! We will package them in small boxes with either a sticker or gift tag that says Thanks in some way… but I would love to think of a creative way of essentially saying, Fi proposed with these, now we’re thanking you with them… obviously I need some serious help! Ideas??

What about little attached cards to the boxes that maybe have a picture of your guys with the story and saying thanks. It would be a great for them to understand the meaning.

Did you save the proposal M&Ms (or take a photo of them)? Since you’re going to make gift tags for the favors, on one side print your note of thanks, and on the other side print a photo of the proposal M&Ms with a simple caption like: Engaged/Proposal December 13, 2008

A little poem..
With these sweet treats,
he asked for my hand
Please take your seat
with our special candy brand
Thank you for making our special day complete.
… lol
yay! rhyme!
With these special candies,
He asked for my hand..
We would like to share our delicious treat to
Thank you for helping us make sweet memories
(on our special day)..
Okay, well, I like the With these sweet treats, he asked for my hand..Pretty sure guests can put two and two together there…
You can put the in depth story in the program…or on the website
I might be able to come with with something better in a day to think istead of like three mins…
I’m usually good at coming up with little ryhmes but…hum..

I like the poem that floridabeachbride wrote.
You can always include the story on your wedding website (if you have one). Your guests will know beforehand and the M&Ms at your wedding will be a sweet reminder of the proposal.

Thanks for the ideas! I love the poem it’s just what I’m trying to think of, may need some tweaking but a great start!! I also like the idea of a pic, maybe on the back of the thank you tag, yes I do still have some of the original ones.. Thanks ladies!! If anyone else has more ideas please keep them coming!!
OH and PS We don’t have a detailed wedding website..it’s pretty simple and I’m not really into sharing our story about everything online… I’d rather somehow explain it right on the box.. 🙂

floridabeachbride – that was a great little poem you wrote there! Very cute – I was trying to think of one myself, but once I read yours I don’t think I could top it at all…

You can make small scrolls and attach the scroll to the box of M&M’s. When the guests open the scroll up, it can be a thank you scroll, with your story…we did something similar for our wedding…good luck.

Cute poem, floridabeachbride! It reminds me of the Jordan almond poem. =)
I like the idea of either engraving the poem on the boxes (if you can afford it), or printing out labels to stick on the boxes, or little slips of paper to put in the boxes, on top of the M&Ms.
@monalisa670: 1 more post to busy bee! =D
