I have a fairly similar colour scheme, taupe couches, grey & black patterned accent chairs, icy blue fireplace, and my rug is ivory with an icy blue and steel grey pattern.  The pattern is almost velvety on a more tightly woven background, so the colours almost “shift” as you view it from one side to the other.  That’s a very long winded way to suggest that you go with a patterened rug, and in your case I’d get one predominantly ivory/cream with grey and hints of your accent colours (either the raspberry, green or teal)

Honestly, I love how the raspberry looks in your inspiration board. I think it really pops and brings the other colors to life. The chartreuse would look good too though. I’d go with one of those two because you risk it getting really monotone if you do ivory, blue or gray.

Sherri and John from YHL have a charcoal couch and a chartreuse rug and it looks awesome.

@Meowkers:  the background weave is very tight and low-nap… almost like an indoor/outdoor rug, with the velvey pattern over top.  I’ve had my cats barf on it, spilled red wine, food etc… and I just use oxyclean and water to scrub it right out!

@Meowkers:  I like the second rug you posted! I think the dark gray would compliment the light gray of the couches really well. As long as you accent with bright colors (pillows, wall art, lamps) then it wont look drab at all.

We bought one of the Aquasilk rugs from ABC Carpet. I love the washed out look of the colors.
