Help Bees!! Here’s a pic of our bedroom (before we got our dark wood nightstands). While I love the windows above our bed, it still looks so plain to me! We have vaulted ceilings, so I’m thinking of putting something there that shows off the height. But I don’t want to make it look too busy. We have a king-sized bed, so I’d say the space is about 4′ wide.

have you looked into the vinyl wall clings? You could get a cute quote. They have a lot to choose from on etsy!

Have you ever seen those signs that say “Always Kiss Me Goodnight”? They’re super cute and I’ve seen them in black and white so that would go with your room.

Is your bed brown? If so we have the same color scheme. I had Steven N. Meyers prints framed and hung above the bed. I think a really clean piece of artwork in a dark frame could be awesome. Here’s one of the one’s that I have. It has a little bit of a blue undertone to it so it looks great with blue walls.

@mwitter80: Oh I like that print a lot.

I love this piece of art. It’s form Pier 1 🙂 I feel like it would bring more warmth in the room but still incorporates the colors you have.

I would do something like these:
I would not do a square or rectangular picture/painting because I think that it won’t go well with the windows on each side. You need to find a fun three dimensional shaped piece to go there so it’s not so matchy matchy.
As for the vinyl wall sayings, I veto that idea. I think they are super kitchy and should only be in kids rooms. But that’s just me!!

@mwitter80:Our bed is dark brown wood with a black leather upholstered headboard.
I LOVE these ideas. I’m definitely going to have to show them to Darling Husband tonight for his opinion!

I saw windows in a bedroom in a decorating blog, but I can’t recall which one! Anyone?
What they’d done is put standard length window treatments on the windows. I wouldn’t have thought of it, but it gave an airy feel to the space and looked pretty neat!

I agree with the PP that square/retangle hanging might be too matchy with the windows on either side.
What about something like one of these? They have some hints of blue that I think would go well with the wall color.

I like groups of 3’s, I have three frames of our wedding pictures above our bed, but we don’t have windows like you so not sure if it’ll work, but just a suggestion, good luck!
