I hate to say this, but in most cases when a photographer is significantly dragging their feet about getting your photos/video to you, it is because something is wrong. Either the photos were damanged or lost, equipment malfunctioned, ect….I can’t really get a clear picture here if I haven’t seen your contract, but it sounds like your photographer was not obligated to provide all of the pictures taken, which can make things kind of murky. If that was what you agreed to, he does not have to give you all of the photos. Was he obligated to stay a certain amount of hours or time per your contract? If so, then you have something in writing that proves he didn’t appear as agreed. Also, 10 months is waaaay too long to get your photos back-I would be furious. My clients wait 8 weeks at the very most, and usually I get it to them in 5 weeks. Why don’t you ask him to hand over everything that he has (good and bad) and sign over copywright so that you can take them to a professional that can edit them for you? Maybe someone can salvage whatever is left. Most photographers would not agree to this, but then again most photographers would have gotten their work to you by now.

At this point I want either evertything he took that day so I can give to another photographer that can do the job and able to photoshop those that we were not in park.

Truly, I don’t know where you’ll find another professional photographer prepared to work on images taken by someone else. Let alone undertake such a radical series of edits as would be required to Photoshop a park background into pictures taken in a studio.

It sounds to me as if you’ve been completely taken for a ride by someone not competent enough to shoot a wedding. Sadly, since it has been so long since your wedding I also suspect that getting the job completed properly is unlikely.

You need to check your contract and seriously consider taking action against him for those elements that weren’t delivered.
