I vote dress number 1!  It looks so class on you, and is so flattering… really gives you an hour glass.  For some reason 2 just looks like its ready to fall right off to me.  I think the shirring is a lovlier detail than the sparkles… I know I don’t know you, but for some reason it seems like it suites you better.  Anyway, I think you look FANTASTIC in dress 1!  But I’m sure you’ll look amazing whatever you decide πŸ™‚

Well I guess I’ve agreed with the majority of you….#1! But I’ll tell you, I can see the pros about the 2nd too! But, the first seems more comfortable, more elegant, and is quite flatering on you! Also, I prefer the cut of the back of the dress of the 1st one! Good luck!

Absolutely number 1, for all the reasons listed above. They both look good, but the first one looks much better.

I’m going to have to agree with everyone else that the first one is much more flattering on you.  I love the simplicity of it and its definitely slimming and makes your figure look great.  (Not that the second one doesn’t, but I agree that if its the sparkle you are looking for you they could be added by a seamstress.)  This is definitely a tough situation that you are in, I was also torn between two dresses.  After going back to the store a second time and trying each one on again – I chose mine.  I even look back now and realize that my face is all smiles in the dress I picked.  Good luck!  No matter which one you choose you’ll be beautiful!

honestly, if you are that equally torn…you should go with the one that is more affordable, since there is such a big price difference…I’m sure you have other places you could spend $1k  πŸ˜‰

If that doesn’t sound appealing, try accessorizing both before deciding.

wow, i definitely liked the 2nd on you best!  love the first dress but liked the second on you better.  reminds me of my own struggles with deciding!!!!  pick the one that you find yourself leaning more towards.  i finally picked mine after i realized that it was the one that i compared all the other ones i liked to.  don’t forget that this is YOUR day and your pictures, your memories, your style, your wedding.  girl, pick the one you would have picked before you opened the "votes"!!!!!  congrats on your engagement!

I haven’t read any comments yet, because I didn’t want to taint my initial reaction!  I think you look far, far more comfortable and natural in the first dress.  If you like the sparkle of the second dress (and who wouldn’t!) maybe there’s a subtle way to accessorize.  Personally, I’d rather not have to think about my dress at all on the big day (besides how amazing I look of course!).

I already commented on your blog, but reading through this thread made me remember something about my own dress experience – when I put it up for a vote, everyone chose the dress that was secretly my second-favorite. I’m glad I went with my gut, though. When I look back on the dress that my peeps were pushing me toward, I realize that I would have felt uncomfortable in it. Maybe just go try them on again, sleep on it, and think about which one makes you feel the most fabulous.

Good luck!

I liked the first one best.  It fits you very well, and looks much more comfortable, and that will make a big difference.  I thought that the top and the bottom of the second one were too different (mostly lace, and then mostly smooth).   But that is only my personal taste.  They are both beautiful.

Also, pay attention to the one you show people first.  That is probably the one you want the most.  Or flip a coin, and if you want a reflip than you know which one you want.  πŸ™‚

they’re both beautiful, but you look *so* much more comfortable in the first dress. i would definitely go with that one.
