I have purchased a dress. The picture only show it as antique oyster over gold whereas mine is ivory/ivory, so the detailing doesn’t show as much. My issue is that I find the dress is so plain at the bottom, no volume and although it has a chapel length train, it sort of just hangs in behind the dress. I wanted to add some volume but how would I do this? What would you suggest. I’ve added a pic to show sort of the volume I would want, in a way. My other problem is the dress was a sample sale and it fits me with flat shoes at the bottom, so I’m afreaid adding poof will shorten it, which can’t really happy, I maybe have 2 inches to bring up for completely flat shoes. Im also kiboshing the bow and just making the sash straight across.
Any help or advise would be great. Can a steamstress take it in at the back as on the model of the inspiration pic? Thanks! Oh and the dress on the girl, its not me, that’s a pic from the internet.
