I have a cute idea for a wedding favor – my Future Sister-In-Law gave me some leftover stuff she had from her wedding, and one of them was a box of little bottles with labels that said “Love Potion”. My theme is Fairytale…so it was perfect! However there will probably be around 200 people at my wedding, and a box of 12 or so is like 25 dollars online…I’m not spending that kind of money on bottles.
I found some online…6 for like $2.50. I could easily make the labels myself, instead of sticking them on, I could make them on the computer, use a hole punch, string lavender ribbon through it, and tie it onto the bottle. Much more fairy-tale like.
My problem is: what could I fill them with? As a favor, I feel like I would have to have a completely different thing for men, because a male isn’t going to want bubble bath, perfume, etc. in his bottle. Also, I don’t want them to get thrown away…any ideas on what to fill them with?

Perhaps candy? Or like a strawberry syrup or something?

You could also put surup to make a drink out od like mint or black current

How big are the bottles? I made vanilla extract for one of our favors. They are posted here, if you want to take a look at them.

id fill them with purple koolaid mix… it would go with the fairytail colors and u could put a sign up that says when u get home mix in water bottle. it would be cheap to.

Ooooh thanks for all of the ideas already!!! It is not an outdoor wedding 🙁
The bottles will probably be 4.25 or 3.25 oz. I could get them bigger, I havent decided yet. Possible even smaller.
I love the kool-aid idea. If I could find some lavender colored kool-aid and some navy blue colored kool-aid, I could layer them. The bottom half blue, the top lavender. LoL.
@noritake22: Thank you, I will go look! 😉

the kool aid idea is awesome !!!! especially since when i think of ” love potion” its something you would drink. very cute!

Alcohol. lol. You could do those mini bottles and put the labels on them. You could do sparkling cider for non-drinkers/kids.

i wouldn’t do koolaid. it’s cute, but a waste of money. how many adults drink it? maybe you could do alcohol for the adults and koolaid for the kids?
