Hubby is very set on having our house done very feng shui-like. I had a consultant come in and do her evaluation along with picking up soom books on feng shui.
I’m supposed to put pictures of food in the dining area. I’m having a hard time finding something that is cool and not cheesy, or that doesn’t look like it belongs in a restaraunt. To give some visual, we have a fireplace along the wall of our kitchen/diining room and I’m imagining I’d have pictures on the wall on either side.
Any suggestions?? I’d like it to look pretty, fresh, and put together…augh!

Check any local art or print stores (Hobby Lobby and Michaels have sections, too) to see if there are any print sets you like that you could frame yourself. I’ve seen some lovely ones in lots of styles (modern, vintage, etc.) of fruits and veggies.

See if you can find an image to buy on gettyimages or or something similar than you can print it large and frame it. Maybe play with the lighting and turn it black and white or play with the wash etc.
Imagine this in black and white

My FBIL’s woman does paintings of household items and food that I really like. I am sure she would do a comission piece if you asked. I was just looking at her butter dish and tomato paintings last night and thinking about matting and framing them white on what to make them a bit larger…
