Hey bees, need some help here. I am used to eating a lot on the run but def want to focus on home cooked meals during pregnancy and post natal care.
Any ideas for quick healthy recipes like casseroles, side dishes for chicken and other lean meats, crock pot ideas, etc.

I try really hard to cook at home most of the time, and to cook healthy balanced meals. Pinterest has been my life-saver – I simply keep a board updated with lots of healthy recipes. Feel free to browse. I hope you find some options you like 🙂

What about fajitas? Thats quick and I like that I can always get a lean meat. I also cook a pork shoulder (fatty side up) in about 2 inches of white vinegar for 8 hours on low in the crockpot and then pull apart and stir in a little barbeque sauce. Thats all I can think of for now 🙂

I made these turkey & veggie meatloaf cups for the second time tonight. Super simple and delicious. I added chopped kale & spinach, onion & roasted red pepper. You really can use any veggies you like. I added in a squirt of ketchup & skipped the BBQ sauce- just personal preference tho.

an amazing side dish is this super easy and unbelievably delicous braised kale, which I make with veggie broth (Better than Boulion) since we’re vegetarians:

I’m really curious about this too. I want to have our friends over for dinner and I just found out that the wife is pregnant. It’s still undercover though, I’m not supposed to know 🙂

build a pinterest board of lots of healthy foods, it’s great to go to when you’re wondering what to make. some of my favorite snacks: dried apricots (great source of iron), yogurt, and carrots with hummus. As far as side dishes, i love quinoa with garlic and mushrooms =)
