Is thre anyway that you could do most of the photos before hand? Then after the ceremony do the couples photos. It will save a lot of time if you get your individual photos done before, so then you’ll only need about 45 min for the couple photos- if that.

hmm have you thought about bumping up the time and having photos before the wedding? that sounds a little odd but I have seen it done. Just an option

Im not quite sure what you are trying to ask? Are you wondering what people should be doing for those 2 hrs?.. If anything i would cut your photo time. We are doing our photos before ceremony so we don’t have to make our guests wait. I’ve been to a few weddings like that but they had us wait we had drinks and meats and cheeses. Im a little concerned guests may get bored which leads to going home. Are most of your guests staying at this hotel that is 15minutes away?? If so i suppose that’s not a big deal and i could definetly see them coming back 2 hrs later no problem.

I think you need to figure out something for them to do for those 2 hours…. if you were at two different locations it would probably be ok – or is there somewhere/something within a 5 min drive you could encourage your guests to go do or to grab a drink at?  Could you open a limited bar early (even if it’s just lemonade or something with a few limited snacks – cheese platter?) and maybe have some get-to know you games that will get guests mingling?  That said, if they’re lingering for 2 hours, I’d cut your cocktail “hour” before dinner to a very short period and move into dinner or you might start losing guests….

Taking less time for pictures would still mean that you have to feed them earlier than 6pm. Can you move the time of the ceremony back?
