so photographer just called and wants to do our engagement photos the end of this month.. no problem there since that was suppose to be done few months back…. any ways i need ideas for outfits…
the photos are gonna be “family” photos– my daughter- 6years, sons 5 and 3, fiance and me… should we be matchy/ or in same colors scheme
i think i want to wear something white like a white sun dress or skirt with a pop of color.. and have kids wear something close to it… argh ..
what would you wear??

I like the idea of you in white, but put the kids in colors. They don’t need to be matchy (it can be cute, but can also flatten the picture a bit). Why don’t you put them in different shades of your wedding colors?

It doesn’ necessarily have to be the same color, but if you have a large group like that, it’s better to wear solids. Too many patterns look odd together.

@asianyoushi: Sounds like a great idea. All pastels would look really good, I think. One of the things I like about the people in the picture wearing colors that work together, rather than the same color, is that the first thing you notice in the picture is the people, not the clothes. Pastels will be attractive but won’t call attention to itself, and your own faces and expressions will be what the picture is about.
