I have a nephew who will be almost 11 by the time of the wedding. He REALLLY wanted to be part of the wedding (his sister is the flower girl) so we made him a junior groomsman. It worked out really well because I have another niece that will be 10 1/2 by the wedding and she’s going to be a junior bridesmaid.

I love the idea of junior groomsman — he can help usher the flower girl down the aisle, too.

I had my nephews (aged 6 and 3) escort my mom and Mother-In-Law down the aisle 🙂

i had my 10 year old nephew be an ‘usher’ to help seat people (mainly family members). It was nice because his name was on the program and he got to wear a tux like all of his siblings and cousins.

Our flowergal is my going to be 20 at the time daughter who has always wanted to be a flower girl. Our ringman is FI’s 16a the time nephew, he had tears when we asked him as he was so honored, his words exactly.

The 16 yo nephew’s mom is my Maid/Matron of Honor, we have been best friends for almost 17 years, and his father FI’s brother is one of the groomsman. Had to find something for him.

+1 to the usher idea.  I think that would be great.

What about program distributor. 🙂  Or just flower girl escort.

Our ringbearer was our 11 year old niece.  She was excited she got to carry the real rings and not fakes, because she was old enought to be trusted with them.  An escort would work well too (flower girl or parents).
