- Wedding: November 2010
Before deciding I wanted all white flowers with greenery for the ceremony site, I thought I wanted plum bouquets and plum shoes for my bridesmaids. My Future Sister-In-Law is in the party, standing on his side and going to be wearing brown shoes to match the guys, and a lei. But the entire wedding party is in ivory/khaki.
So then it dawned on me that this beautiful soft, white setting would be very stark against the bouquets, and I’ve kind of second guessed the shoes all along especially since it’s been very difficult finding an affordable pair in the right color!
Anyhow, no one has purchased their shoes yet, and I already got their accessories – pearls and a little sparkle.
I’m wondering if I should stick with the original plan, or the second option. The photos aren’t great cause I tried using Paint to colorize the bouquets to more realistic colors.
I tried polling my bridal party, and only my sister said, “Why are you changing the shoes, I think they’ll look good.” I explained the ceremony decor and she never responded.
FYI – the reception is very lively colored = Plum, Fuchsia, and Chartreuse, so I was thinking about getting them sandals that are colorful to change into for the reception.
I need the hive!
