Both dresses are beautiful! I LOVE Dress #1, but Dress #2 would be fantastic for your venue! You can’t go wrong.
If you don’t mind, who is the designer of Dress #1?! I am looking for a similar dress and have not seen this one before! Thanks!

The first dress is gorgeous. And although I like the 2nd one too, the first dress shows off your amazing figure and elongates you, whereas i think the 2nd one seems to cut your body off and shorten you. I also think it would be beautiful at your outdoor wedding.

I LOVE Dress 1. It’s so elegant and it fits your shape beautifully! I like #2 but personally, the “fluffy” bottoms make me nervous that I’d regret having them in 20 years.

I couldn’t acutally vote at first. I love them both on you and tbh I don’t normally go for the ruffles but it looks fab on you and you say you love it because you’re fun, so that gets my vote.

I am not a fan of ruffles in general, but I think you look gorgeous in the second dress!!Since you feel it expresses your personality, I would say go with that one!

I voted, but really I love them both. I think #2 may be better for an outdoors wedding though. But they are both beautiful on you so really there is no wrong answer here 🙂

I voted for No. 2. If it fits your personality more, it seems like a better match. Both look great, so you can’t go wrong, though. The ruffles make me swoon. 🙂

Like others I think #1 may be a smidge more flattering but to me it doesn’t go with a barn setting. I think both dresses are maybe a little fancy for that but the second one is more whimsical which I think fits better. I thinik the first dress elongates you more but it could be the angle and/or you may have been standing on a pedestal(?). But that’s kind of nit-picky because both dresses look gorgeous on you.

I personally like #2 better, it fits your personality better and YOUR venue better!
On #1 – I don’t like the transition from the fitted part to the flare….

Thank you all so much for the votes/feedback. I find myself relating to nearly every one of your comments but I have officially decided to go with dress #1.
I still love the romantic, fun dress but I found out that it will take a lot of alterations to make it exactly I want it (the dress has one strap with a large flower that needs to be taken off…I want to take down some of the ruffles to show more of my curves…hem, etc).
I made the final decision based on a few things: I felt amazing in dress #1 from the moment I put it on (even though it had ZERO hanger appeal). I think that the simpler design will help keep the focus on me and not the dress. I can wear large statement pieces (like the belt and maybe a hair accessory) which will help reflect my personality. The picture doesn’t show it well but the material is actually silk dupioni so it looks very “rich” in person and has the right amount of shine for me (I don’t like the shiny look of satin either). I should have mentioned in the original post that our barn wedding is more of a “chic” barn wedding which should help the dress make more sense in the venue 🙂
@robsgirl1: Its a Justin Alexander belt that I found at Charlotte’s Weddings (quite expensive but absolutely stunning). Here is it: http://www.justinalexanderbridal.com/acc/A004
@jennyfromtheblock: The first dress is a 2012 Martina Liana! http://www.martinaliana.com/
Thanks again, everyone!

I picked #2! I had to keep scrolling up and down and looking at them both over and over. But in the end, #2 took my breath away! It’s just so ethereal, and i can totally see a gorgeous mountain top view behind it. They are both beautiful. good luck in your decision!
