Bees, I need your help! I’m deciding between a 2 carat halo or something smaller like a 1.5 carat halo. I’m afraid the 2 carat plus halo might look too big on my size 7.5 finger.
Does anyone here have photos of halo e-rings on size 7+ fingers? Would be super helpful to see!

What is the actual band/style that you’re looking for- and are you going with a moissy stone with that size?
Sometimes I feel like the halos and shape can distract from the center stone and may encourage going up or down in size.
While I wear a 6.25, I feel like daintier rings can make fingers look smaller- and clunkier styles can make them look fatter.

I think that you often lose the beauty and “oomph” of a big stone when you put a halo on it. If you are set on a halo, I’d probably go with the 1.5 carat (though thats still pretty large). That being said, its all a matter of preference, so maybe check with a jeweler to see if they have any examples they could show you and you can see for yourself! Otherwise, I’m sure some bees here can help out!

I agree with PP. If you want a halo, I wouldn’t exceed 1.25 carats in my opinion. I am a size 7 and I just think it would be too big if it was a halo 2 or 1.5 carats. Good luck! Whatever you choose will look beautiful.

I was able to find a pic of my old ring. Center stone was moissanite 1.3ct. It faced up huge (like 2ct). My finger size is 10. I think 1.5 will look plenty big!

Here is my 1.35 round brilliant center with an additional .75 in the band and wedding ring. I wear a 7 ring size. I love the size of mine but I’m sure my finger size could handle a 2 carat without looking too large so it’s completely up to which size you want 🙂

Not anywhere near the carats your talking about, but a great example of the difference flush a halo can make. My ring is around 1/4 ct total with a .2 center stone, but the face of my ring, including the halo is 6mm, so from a little ways away it shows like a 3/4 ct stone. I personally prefer the look of a smaller center with a halo to a single stone the same size because I feel like it sparkles more and it’s able to be lower. My ring size is 4.5

I wear a 7.5 ish, and my ring has a .74 ct oval diamond center with a very dainty 1 mm halo. While I wouldn’t mind a bigger center stone, I definitely love the thin halo as it looks complimentary to the center stone.
I would probably go for the smaller size in your case and avoid a busy/chunky setting when the center stone is that big, but either way you should try on a few rings to see which size and setting you like on your hand.

Mines much smaller than what you’re looking at but its my dream ring, I’m an athlete and I didn’t want anything too big but I think it’s a perfect size and perfect quality… It’s a floral halo In an 18k yellow gold setting, .60 diamond. VV1 and D. Just received it this week 🙂 hope this helps, I’m a size 7.

I have a 2 ct center stone in a halo and I wear a size 4.75-5. I love it! I do not regret the size of it one bit! Go with whatever you want as long as you love it! Have you tried on the different sizes? I think both options will look great!

I don’t think a 2 carat is too big at all. Here is a photo I found searching the Bee: she wears a size 7.25 and the ring is a 2 carat with halo. I think it looks amazing!!
