I’m totally clueless about this but need to figure it out asap as invites need to go out next week. Because Fiance and I had some issues getting a venue we are finally putting a payment down for one tomorrow, and now I can get to our invites. I’ve spent all afternoon working on what I think we will want (I’ll get him to approve when he gets home), however when I go to do a test print on my little wee brother printer, the ink is printing a different colour from the colours I have onscreen.
Can I fix this or will I need to send it to staples or kinkos or something and have them print? I don’t have a lot of time to wait around for proof after proof to get it right, but I also don’t have a zillion dollars – help!

It’ll probably never print like what’s in your screen no matter where you print it. The screens are RGB and the printers are usually cmyk. Plus if you print on colored paper it’ll change the color too. You’ll have to play around with the color until it prints the way you want it. You can always do a test page with little squares of different colors to get what you like and not waste paper.

yeah, you need to figure out what your printer is printing in compared to your computer settings. It’ll be easier if both are RGB or CMYK. Otherwise yep, start playing around with color squares and keep track of what you try. I had to do the saaaaaame thing! Light pink is apparently a bitch of a color to get right!

thanks ladies – played around with the setting and got the colours right, yay!!
Now I figure out why it’s printing like shit on the paper I got 🙁
