Everyone been steering me to a plainer veil. That I don’t want my veil competing with my dress. I’m told on doing a plain long veil with scattered crystals or a lace veil that’s either a mantilla style or where the lace comes up to my elbows.
The bottom lace is from dress

Or this veil with added crystals light sprinkling

This is my dress

What do you prefer?
Personally I think a long plain or scattered crystal veil would look best. A lace trim on the veil would just blend into the lace trim on the train of your dress.

I think my problem is I really like the lace veils that’s what I always pictured but I kind of agree where people have said the lace from the dress would be competing with lace trim on the dress. zzar45 :

heatdisneybride : I have very similar lace but the bottom of my dress. The lace is one of the reasons I chose it. I got a veil with identical lace and it looks beautiful together. Do whatever makes you happy. I felt a bit OTT for such a small wedding but my mega veil looks gorgeous. I am happy I got it. I think it was probably from the same place as that lace veil (very similar photos)

If I could find lace that matched it exactly I would do the lace one in heartbeat. I think that’s what makes it difficult MsBeer :

heatdisneybride : Have you contact the seller of the veil you are looking at, they might be able to help you. I found one that was close, then they asked me for a photo of my dress and managed to find an even better veil with the lace matching perfectly, which I would have never have found on my own.

I actually think a fingertip length veil with a simple lace edge might look really nice. That way the veil itself is an accent to the dress, not competing with it.

If you want a long veil, personally I would go with something more plain. I am doing that with mine, as I also have lace on my train and I didn’t want it to compete or cover the lace on my dress, but I just love the cathedral length veils! If you love the lace, though, get the lace! Does the bridal salon have one that’s close enough that you can try on with your dress? That way you can see which look you prefer.

Sunshine024 : This! I had always envisioned a lace trimmed veil with a lace dress. I ultimately decided on a plain, cathedral length veil with my lace dress and thought it was perfect! That being said, you should do what you love the most!

I think any of the options you posted will be lovely- whatever you are most happy with! I will he wearing an all lace dress and I went with a veil with lace trim. I’m including a photo for reference. Sorry for the pins in the dress…

heatdisneybride : Wow your dress is gorgeous!
I know this is going against other Bees but I definitely would not go with a veil that is short. I think you need a super long veil to match your dress. I think if you go with a shorter veil it will minimize the stunning look of your dress.
Honestly I think either veil would look amazing.

I have and I get similar lace and I kind of worry it would be competing with the lace on the train. MsBeer :

My dress is longer then a cathedral veil. The bridal salon did not carry any of the types I was looking for. It looks like I’m turning to Etsy for a veil. Sunshine024 :
