Seeing the images would really be the best way to decide, but I would probably go blue Nile bc that one faces up bigger and has better clarity, and also bc I know they have excellent customer service. (side note– it’s culet not cutlet)

ja102010:  Diamonds are something I would only pick by stats if I ABSOLUTELY had to. Gotta see them in person. Any pictures?

ja102010:  really tough to say without pics. It could really go either way whether clarity trumps cut. H is a very nice color! But I would bet they do not look like the same color as each other due to all of the other factors.

Cut is king! I would go with the better cut diamond. And I agree with PP’s, it’s best if you can view the diamond and if you can’t it would be good to see an idealscope/aset picture of the diamond which shows you how the diamond facets reflect the light that comes into it (that is what gives it the sparkle and brilliance). Optical performance is important if you want a sparkle.

In general, I would say cut is king. That small of a size difference won’t be noticeable, and well-cut diamonds can have a greater presence due to better light return. What are the prices for each? You could possibly do better on a site like James Allen, where you could find an eye clean SI1-SI2, at a lower price or a larger size. At one point, Ritani offered pics of some of their diamonds, too.
