I like the first better
I like the first better
Alternative views to the rings –
Not such a fan of Tiffany. The jewelry is beautiful, and I know a lot of people are, but you really are paying a goodish chunk of the markup for the name. Some are willing to do that; I never was.
That said, I do like the first ring better. But for that price, you could get more. The ring reminds me a lot of an Etsy designer I’ve seen. Maybe you could look into one of her designs? If you forego the Tiffany name, you could probably get a bigger center, and she’s legit–Several bees have bought from her.
The second ring is really unique, but it doesn’t scream “engagement ring” to me for some reason. I love the burst of color in the diamonds in the Tiffany ring … It almost looks like there’s a fire between the white diamonds. I think it really makes the center diamond pop!
Oh my gosh those are incredible!! Do you have a photo of the second on your hand for comparison? I think I like the second a tad better but man….they are stunning
Second one, no contest.
Every. Single. Ring. On. Here. has been a halo for the last 6 months or so. The second ring is such a breath of fresh air. First one is just another halo with a twist. Not very interesting.
I am in love with number two! Its UH MAZING!
The Tiffany Soleste will look stunning with the rose gold metro band. The other one will be hard to find a band for.
I would say the over time, given ring shrinkage, I would opt for a larger stone. I love the Soleste, but agree with others that you could find something similar and get a larger center stone.
@chelonmelon: I wear an 8.25, so I feel for you. It all comes down to the shape of your hands and fingers. Long, elegant fingers could definitely pull off the second ring and look really stunning. I mean, it is such a gorgeous ring. But I have shorter fingers, and when I put a wide band on my fingers, it visually divides my finger into even smaller, chubby chunks. It’s just not a flattering look, In My Humble Opinion.
Since you can’t try on #2 in person, you may want to go to local jewelry stores and look for similar wide, spaced out bands. You probably won’t find an exact match, and you’ll have to try it on your pinky since jewelry stores only seem to carry a size 6-7 in the case, but you’ll get a general idea of whether a wide band would look good on your finger.
From the top, #2 looks like it was supposed to have an east west marquise set in to it. I prefer the first.
