I will show you an old ring that I had, I am a size 7.5 and this stone was 1 carat….

I thought it was too small for me personally, but it’s all in how you like things!

I do like 1 carat stones with halos, I just prefer more finger coverage.. I guess!

That stone is gorgeous though, I love me some sapphires!!!!

    Is that a stacked set?

For a conventional e ring with all clear stones, I like a center stone that pops. Small side stones, big center stone. 1.5 DEW was the smallest I wanted on my 6.5 finger. I was seriously contemplating a 2.

On your band, I like how the color pops. I like the proportions of the center stone to that band. I like all the little blings on that band. I think that size works with that band, but bear in mind that in the photo, the center stone may appear larger than it would in the actual setting if it’s being held closer to the camera.

For a colored stone, I’d probably prioritize the color quality over the size.

It’s all personal preference! Do what you love, and show us photos of the final product! I would love to have a peach sapphire one day!

My finger is 8.5 and my diamond is a 1.3 princess which faces up similar to a 1 ct round.  The size works for me.  I will say that I think having a thinner setting helps give the illusion that the stone is bigger

Why don’t you try on rings with a one carat stone so you can get an idea of how the size looks on your hand? I think that would be the best way to go.

Personally I think a 1.5ish would look perfect for you but that’s just my opinion! You sound like you want something fairly proportional without being too small and practical for daily use…perhaps a decent size but not OTT

I like it and think it’s pretty, but I will say that every finger size-no matter the numerical number given-looks different. You gotta try on different sizes to find what works for you personally. For me and my size 8 finger I would go no no bigger than a 1.25ct but that’s me.
I have a .80ct OEC for my current anniverary ring and I think it looks great. Planning to get a 1.25 center for my next and final anniversary ring. Then I can switch them out as I please, I’m a big supporter of multiple rings/sets 😉

pic for reference (this ring is an 8.5 and didn’t bother to get it sized)

I love love love that pink sapphire! It looks amazing in the white gold with all the pretty diamonds. As far as the size I have a 1ct princess cut that I don’t really wear anymore because I feel like it looks to small on my size 7 finger. Is there an option to get a larger stone? If not it will look fine but if you can get a bigger one maybe get 1.5-2ct. Goodluck and please show us when it’s on your finger!
