I’m getting married at Eden Gardens State Park, it’s a pretty open area & we’re getting married under a big oak tree there. Here’s some pictures:
That’s the “Wesley House” there…it has amazing history.
You can see the house in this picture in the background, and that big tree is the tree we’re getting married under…where the limb is sticking out. The chairs will be faced towards where I’m taking the picture. So, the back of the chairs will be facing the house. I’m coming in on a horse & carriage from the left of this picture on a dirt road, and will be let off in a little outlet so I can walk to the tree. I was trying to get some kind of vintage car for the ladies so that they could get dropped off at the same place I am, but there isn’t a car big enough for 5 BM’s, a flower girl & a ring bearer. I have NO idea how to get the ladies to the tree. They could walk from the house but that’s a FAR walk.
Any suggestions? Thanks so much ladies!

Beautiful setting! Did the venue have any ideas? Could you have them come in a carriage too? I agree to have them walk from the house would be a bit much.

The venue doesn’t really have any ideas, & my wedding planner has weddings there all the time…she said most of the time they pull up in a town car or something. But if we were to do a limo, it wouldn’t really fit the setting or the theme I’m going for.
It’s a toughy 🙁

how are your guests getting to the site? If they can walk, surely the maids can too! Are you all getting ready in the house?
What about two cars? Or send them in the carriage then return the carriage for you?

@DDW: The guests are walking, I just didn’t want the BM’s to walk a long way while all the guests staring at them, waiting for them. We’re not getting ready in that house, we’re driving to the ceremony from the place we’re getting ready to the ceremony site.
Two cars would work, but I’d like them to be similar to one another, and I don’t think anybody I know has two cars like that. & as for the carriage idea, I’ve thought of that..but me & my dad want the carriage to be special to us. But good ideas, girl…thank you for your input!
