That is gorgeous! Why are you doubting?

@KTinker:  I love the oval and love the halo! I do however think in the ring in the pic, the proportions of the double halo overwhelm the center stone. If you are sure you want a double halo, you might want to find a double halo that is more subtle? (I’m in the same situation of my bf asking me to pick out a ring/style – after looking at TONS of rings my personal opinion is that double halos look a little too much like a cocktail ring and single halos are more classic.)

I’m sure no matter what you pick, it will be beautiful though πŸ™‚

@KTinker:  I too think that the double halo is overkill.  A single halo usually does the trick of subtly enhancing the center stone, and it is my very personal opinion that a double halo tends to be employed by those who desperately want their ring to look larger (disclaimer: this opinion will obviously divide some people, and will offend those who are more sensitive… if so I apologize as it is not intentional… and I also understand why some people don’t like any halos at all).

If you have your heart set on a double halo, I would go for a single band rather than the triple as shown in the photo.

I personally like ovals in a more delicate single halo + single band setting.  The micropave is very nice, and ovals face up large, giving you great value for your money.  I think you will have a very beautiful ring if you make some tweaks to what you posted.  But of course, your very own opinion will count the most.

I love it, looks great on your finger. I did initialy want a halo but worried I’d tire of it so got a solitaire to be safe. Probably if I lived in the US I would have gone for something like the pic, but in the uk ive not seen anyone with a halo & worry also how it would be percieved as erings r generaly quite small here.

It is absolutely exquisite! I understand your reasoning too. I have long fingers and opted for a split shank ering – plus I wear 2 eternity rings and a very thin wedding band — all. on. one. finger. lol

Yes, yes, YES – it is beyond a doubt different, interesting and a lovely choice. Wear it in good health!

Your ring is gorgeous!! It has a combination of 2 of my favourite features : oval shaped stone and a halo. Plus since you have long fingers (I do too) you can certainly go for larger, bigger rocks πŸ˜‰ the one you chose has great finger coverage & you wear it well. Y doubt? I would go with it and tell myself I will learn to love it even more as the years go by πŸ™‚ and anyway your hubby will always reward you with upgrades later on, if ever your taste changes once again! Lol As suggested though, maybe the double halo hides your middle stone. All best!

@KTinker:  If you’ve always envisioned a solitaire and that’s what you’re struggling with, have you tried an oval solitaire? Something like this would still give you lots of finger coverage while still maintaining more of a solitaire feel
