Cheapest shape of diamond is marquise at the moment as they are the least popular just now. Most size for your money tends to be princess cut.

As PPs have said, pre-owned opens up your options a lot. You can also go to auctions for pre-owned rings. My father went to an auction for things that had been confiscated by customs and bought a sapphire, diamond, pearl necklace for $4000 that was valued after purchase at $40000.

Another way of reducing price can be to look at lower color grades but excellent cut grades.

All depends on budget and how much time you can put into finding what you want.

There’s also moissanite and gemstone jewelry as alternatives which you could also buy pre-owned.

The problem is the setting you have chosen is very complicated and contains an awful lot of diamonds, so usual suggestions for swapping the centre stone out for moissanite will not really reduce the cost much because the majority of the cost is in the setting not the small centre diamond.

If you want something a lot cheaper go for a more simple design with fewer diamonds and a moissanite centre stone, or find a second hand ring.

This ring has a similar look to your inspiration pic and is only $805! I tried it on and almost ended up with it when I was shopping for my e-ring, but I returned it because it was too sparkly for my personal taste. I attached a few pictures I took while I had it though! For reference I believe I was a size 5.5 at the time if that helps!–1859651.aspx

Mine has the twist and it’s moissanite and it was $1,515.00 but I have a 7mm(1.25) forever one center.

midnightblaze :  Have you tried jewelers on Etsy? Rosado Box is one I hear often, besides Tianyu and Doveggs. I have never used them, but I hear from other ring groups that they are awesome and will customize. They use moisonnite, not diamond. There are also many jewelers on there that are based in US. Alternatively, you can try local jewelry stores. Surprisingly, sometimes, custom rings cost less.

midnightblaze :  I was just helping someone with this recently from Tianyu. It is probably in the $600-$800 range and that includes the moissanite. It can be ordered with lab diamonds and you can always change the moissanite out at a later date. This includes the matching band too.

midnightblaze :  What is your budget? Are you open to other stones (sapphire, moissanite, etc.) or do you prefer diamond?
