midnightblaze :  There is a woman on etsy who made me a diamond setting for a very good price(under 1000 with a double halo of baguettes and round’s ) then I had my stone set into it. I don’t know what your budget is but sometimes you can find used ring’s on ebay for very cheap and then she could make you a setting for it. Her name is Mrosedesign. All of my diamonds are good quailty and my jeweler has stated several times how good the craftsmanship is. She likes to recreate antique settings but she seems to be willing to do modern styles aswell.

This is the ring she made for me. Its very dirty here so they look alittle rough but the stones are eyeclean and really white! She can also set moissanite and gemstones.

midnightblaze : If you really like the Neil Lane ring, you could set a lab diamond in it or a cheap moissanite (a .8 lab diamond is ~1000 at Brilliant Earth and 1 carat moissanites start at ~50 dollars on ebay). I’m not sure about the quality of the brand though. Another option is to consider used rings, which are more affordable.

Have you searched Diamonds Direct? I know they have really great pricing. I looked around at the store near me the other day. Even if you don’t buy the whole ring their diamond prices are unbeatable unless you buy secondhand.

Rare carat it good. I love adiamor, I have found multiple excellent diamonds there for a great price. Brillant Earth is the best for lab diamonds imo. If you’re educated on the 4 C’s, I think you should be able to find what you’re looking for there. Happy shopping!
