My 10 year old daughter will be walking me down the aisle. I can’t seem to find a dress for her. I really want her to wear a beautiful dress, something out of the ordinary. I’ve looked at davids bridal but they’re all just plain. I really envision her with a long dress even with a little mermaid fit and flare to it. I don’t care if I’m suppose to be the center of attention, truthfully I don’t want to be but I want her to wear a beautiful dress that will really stand out.
it’s hard to find a dress like that for a 10 year old. She’s too old for flower girl dresses and too young for bridesmaid dresses. It’s really hard. Anyone have any ideas? My Bridesmaid or Best Man will be wearing blush long chiffon dresses.thanks

@ilovemariah4: My sister was 12 at our wedding. Too old to dress like a flower girl and too young to dress like a bridesmaid. My mom took her to local department stores and finally found a dress they both liked. It had spagetti straps and looked a bit more grown up than a flower girl dress but it still covered up enough to be modest for a tween.
If you really want something fancy and you have a big budget, why not order something custom from dressilyme.com? I would advise to choose one of the tween/prom styles like this:
A mermaid may be too sexy for a 10 year old and she may not even have the curves necessarily to pull it off. I would say to go for a sheath or empire waist dress.

@beachbride1216: you might be right about the curves…lol…I guess I just want a dress that will stand out like a small train or something. Thanks for info..I’ll def look into it.

I would keep it age appropriate. 10 is a bit young for cleavage baring (she likely doesn’t have any)or tightly fitted dress. Ido understand that it is nice to find something that’s not babyish, however.
