I am having a really hard time finding a long sleeve dress in my budget ($1000 or less) and actually finding any at all. We are having a very small ceremony <20 people, but are having a professional photographer which is why I wanted to get a nice dress, for lovely photos.
I love the Allure 2808 dress from the front, but it looks like the back is shaped as a heart? I don’t like that. I’ve only seen stock photos though so I could be wrong.
Any advice or guidance if you’ve seen a similar dress is greatly appreciated! I’m open to all full length, long sleeve, not open back.

I like this one, although I would probably get the neckline custom lowered and change the belt. https://www.etsy.com/nz/listing/253585355/orion-lightweight-wedding-gown-chiffon?ref=hp_rf

Are you looking for long sleeves for modesty? I needed long sleeves for religious purposes. I am getting mine custom made from Wardrobe by Dulcinea. She was very affordable with customizing the top of a two-piece dress from a sleeveless v-neck to a long sleeve, fully-lined top with a high neck. I haven’t gotten the dress yet, but her stuff is beautiful on her facebook page and she was FANTASTIC with communication.

What size are you looking for?
I don’t know what it is about long sleeve dresses, but I tried on about 10 different ones before almost giving up on finding the long sleeve dress of my dreams – they did not suit me and I’ve heard that from several people. Long sleeve dresses can be finicky. Your budget makes it a bit tricky, but I recommend trying different styles on and then checking preownedweddingdresses.com or oncewed.com
Some options from preowned sites:
$650 ($1300 retail at DB)
Here is my Mori Lee 1350 (pictured in Ivory, ordered in light gold) – but it retails at $1600

Could you purchase a strapless dress and a seperate lace topper with 3/4 sleeves? Etsy has many toppers that you could look at and this would be a less expensive option than a dress with sleeves. It would also give you a ceremony and reception look.

Thank you all, this is really helpful. Honestly I could spend more than $1000, but I feel like with such a small, short ceremony it would be a waste.
stephlynn: I want long sleeves because I reallyyy really hate my arms. I wear long sleeves even in summer, so I would not be comfortable in anything else
I was also thinking of a sweater and tulle skirt 2 piece

A11eycat: your dress is soo beautiful! you look great in it! thank you for sharing! I’m not sure what size dress I would be, I normally wear a 4 in tops and 6 in pants

Thank you! I tried it on on a whim after resigning myself to strapless dresses after trying on several long sleeves that looked HIDEOUS on me – lol 🙂
You should measure yourself and use your largest measurement to determine your size based on the designers’ charts. The people at the bridal salons can help with this!

Have you looked at the option of getting sleeveless dress and just adding on sleeves during alteration?

You can often have sleeves added during alterations. They also sell boleros and a sort of backward bolero (where the closure, often buttons, are in the back). Like this one: https://www.etsy.com/listing/220774749

msbeee: That etsy designer I mentioned makes beautiful tulle skirts. I’m getting her catherine skirt!

Skirt and sweater is an awesome combo! It will also help if you’re two different sizes

That Mori lee is stunning! And, the Oleg Cassini at David’s bridal that is posted above looks ahmaaaaazing in person. The Davids bridal pics do not do it justice.

msbeee: Check out BHLDN’s separates range. You could definitely do a skirt and sweater for under $1k – and the bonus is, you could probably wear the individual components again as well.

Look at samples and pre-owned! I bought a $1600 sampe off preownedweddingdresses.com for $800. Here it is on the model:
I recommend looking at toppers as well. I tried this one on (from http://www.rebeccaschoneveld.com/; she has a few styles) and LOVED it. I think the topper was like $400 or $500? You could easily buy an affordable strapless dress to put underneath.
