I am looking at our Pantone book right now.

Rhodamine Red U is a very vibrant/bright Fuschia.

233U is a deeper more rich fuschia with a hint of a purple(?). In other words not as vibrant, a bit more rich of a color.

Glad you came on here, because you should NEVER judge a print color (especially a Pantone color) by what you see on screen! Yay for @Treejewel19 for saving the day!

@Mrs. Meowerson:  I would say most assuredly that neither color has even a hint of red. They are most definitely pink (Rhoadmine Red U is oooooober pink!).

That spectrum of Pantone colors is closer to the purples and within mid-pinks. You are most definitely not in the red category. In looking through this book the closest thing to red or hint of is Rubine Red U up near 219 U.

@LizLemon:  Agreed. For my job we have this Pantone book because what our customers send us in photos might be completely different than what they actually want color wise.

Stationery shops maybe? Or anyone you know at an advertising agency/graphic design studio? Even a local college’s art department…
