so I need some help. I have found a hall that is perfect in size and what we are looking for, but one big problem… The hall is is a little dated and my fiancé will not go there if we can’t cover the walls. So I was thinking of doing the wall draping but I’ve never been to a wedding that’s had that done and im not sure how it will look in the end or how it will look in person. Does it create a different feel? Would it make people feel claustrophobic? I’m just trying to convince him it’s the way to go but I don’t want it to look bad in the end. thanks!

@Mandy2015: OMG, wall draping is awesome (pipe and drape). Here are a few things for you to look at – we’re doing full room draping, for what it’s worth, so I am biased. Our venue is pretty dated looking too so that’s why I’m doing it, and I think it just creates a really upscale, warm, intimate feel.
Now this is a really nice hotel, looks great without draping… but check it out with:

I think draping can make a huge difference. But if you do it you will probably have to get professional lighting too (like in the PP pics). Draping without professional lighting looks really dated to me, but thats just my opinion. We’re having a little bit of draping to separate part of the room. The draping is pretty inexpensive but the lighting is what gets you!
