So besides the fact that I bought a dress that I don’t love, I’m trying to figure out if its going to even work anymore. I bought this dress as a sample for only 250 dollars. Great deal. Doesn’t have everything I wanted, but aside from that, i’m trying to figure out if its even going to work because of the train.
I’m only 5’2″ and its a cathedral train. Beautiful for walking down the isle, but for the rest of the night, not so fun. Obviously needs to be bustled but i’m wondering how they bustle that much train when i’m so short!? On a taller person maybe, but i can’t picture it. Anyone run into this. If it doesn’t work, I may have to resell it.

My dress has a huge train and so they had to do a french double bustle (5 points) on it since I am 5′ 2″. It looks so pretty though! Here is a link to a bunch of different bustles. And I LOVE your gown by the way!

Oh and the single french bustle plus the single over bustle made me look like I had a tail since they had to start it so high! I refuse to have a tail at my wedding!

I’m short and my dress has a train too. They did a 5-point french bustle on mine also.

Same here, I’m super short (4’11”!) with a cathedral train, but I think 3-5 point french bustles are so divine, and would look gorgeous with your gown.

That gown is stunning! I have a long train too (chapel) but I am a little taller. They are doing a snap bustle for mine so I wont lose any of the back detailing on my dress.

Just wanted to chime in with all of the french bustle comments! I’m short as well, 5’1, and my dress also has a cathedral train and I plan on getting a french bustle. I haven’t been fitted yet, so I’m not sure if I’ll have a 3 or 5 point bustle…

I totally second (or third or fourth) the french bustle. They can actually make the multiple points in order to get the look that you want, and so that it accentuates the border detail too!
