That might be information you only want to share by word of mouth specifically to people who you think would enjoy those activities. I’m sorry, but if there’s a “mud pit” (whatever that is?) after dinner – I’m going home.

We’re having a post-reception bonfire “after party” with s’mores and I’m just going to tell the bridal party and then have the dj announce it before the last long.

Can you do a separate insert that says, “After the ceremony and dinner reception, we are hosting a bonfire, complete with four wheelers, s’mores, and lots of fun.  So, bring a change of clothes and your old boots and join us for some fun after the wedding.”

futureMrs.Owens:  I would say wedding, formal reception to follow.  Bonfire, four-wheelers and other messy fun begins at XX – change rooms will be available so you can keep your good clothes clean.  I would make some sort of a tounge-in-cheek commment about being able to keep the nice stuff nice so people get the hint!

Word of mouth, or you could put it on a Website. However, Fiance and I were just invited to a co-worker of his wedding this weekend… and they had an information card that said a bunch of stuff that they would be having – casual dress, BYOB, yard games instead of a dance, etc. It laid it ALL out.
