We are having our pictures this Saturday in Brookyln, crossing our fingers that the forecast stays clear 🙂
I have spent about 2 months trying to find outfits to wear and have come up pretty empty handed. I spent two weekends in a row at two different outlets in hopes to find them carrying different things, no luck. I’ll be trying a third on Friday!
Currently I have a bunch of items sitting in my modcloth cart because I don’t want to order one thing and have it not fit, so I am ordering a bunch. Since it is supposed to be in the 50s these will most likely need to be layered, but with what? I currently have a mustard yellow cardigan and a navy drapey sweater (like a cardigan but doesn’t button). I don’t see either of those colors going with any of the below:
I own the purple dress, and I bought some leggings this weekend, but I don’t have a sweater to go with it (unless the mustard yellow would match?) I think it will be too cold for sleeveless…
Also, FI will be wearing a white dress shirt with orange sweater and an orange and blue gingham tie, and his other outfit will be an eggplantish sweater.
My other outfit will be skinny jeans with black or brown high boots, and I’ve yet to find a top. I bought two shirts at the outlets that I can’t find online, so I will post those later today. Help and opinions please!

Also, I’m fair skinned and worry that the navy colors will make me look even paler! But I’m looking for something that will contrast nicely with what will hopefully be some nice foliage in the park.

I’m loving number 3 and depending on the shade of the mustard cardigan those two could go together.
ALl of the dresses are quite lovely though

You could always wear a long sleeved shirt under that purple dress. I have a friend who has that dress (even in that color!) and she wears a longsleeved black shirt underneath it all the time and it looks great. I think the it would be hard to match the shades of red in the picture to your mustard sweater without seeing them in person, but I think either of those navy dresses would look great with a mustard sweater!

might want to add a poll to make is easier ? but i like A. most of the dresses you have picked you wouldnt need a belt ?

I vote for dress A or D with the brown leather belt, the mustard cardigan, and brown leather flats or wedges if you have them… What shoes were you thinking about wearing? You could also wear gray shoes, but I would try to avoid pairing a navy dress with black shoes, or anything too colorful if you wear the mustard cardie. (E) looks a little too risque to me – like it would hug your body and show your panty and bra lines, whereas (A) and (D) are a little looser and wouldn’t have that issue. They also look a lot flirtier.

I like dress A…the mustard cardigan would go well with that blue!

@mrshersch74: I thought the belt would go with the blue dresses or the white top?
@MsVoyageur: I have a shoe collection of about 2…I’ve been shopping for cute flats but haven’t found much. I have black flats that have a little tiny heel to them, but they look like flats. I have a pair of knee high black boots and knee high brown boots.
@madger: I saw some people wore a black shirt under it in the review section, I’ll have to find one and try it out!
Unfortunately A was removed from my cart when they sold out on my way home from work :/ I just placed my order and everything should arrive Friday. I may post some pics of me wearing them once they come in.
