I also agree with the grey. http://www.valsparpaint.com/en/explore-colors/painter/color-selector.html
These are the colors that we’ve used in our house so far (still working our way through all of the rooms!) – we’ve gone with neutral beige/grey tones. All are Benjmain Moore:
Den: Revere Pewter (my FAVORITE – beautiful gray. highly recommend)
Formal Living Room: Gray Owl
Kitchen: Manchester Tan
Main Bathroom: Stonington Gray
Entryway/Upstairs Hallway: Edgecomb Gray (beautiful greige color!)
Bedroom: Valley Forge Tan
We still have SO MUCH left to do, but paint makes a HUGE difference! Definitely check out those colors on pinterest 🙂
I LOVE the colour, but I do find it can have a bit of a greenish tint in certain lighting. I like that about it, though.
It’s the only colour that matches our cherry red floors without making them look MORE red 😛
I have a new construction home and did SW Mindful Gray throughout except in my coffered ceilings which are Dovetail. Love the gray as it changes based on the light. See?
My favorite gray is Sherwin Williams Grayish
And a really pretty blue that I like is Benjamin Moore Beach glass
Also, I highly reccomend Behr Paint and Primer in 1 from Home Depot. I used a Bridesmaid or Best Man color (Wythe Blue, and it’s so beautiful!) and also the SW color I suggested above and just took the chips to Home Depot and had them color match. I had bought small sample cans from Bridesmaid or Best Man and SW and my Home Depot paints were a perfect dupe.
I’ve seen it ever a bit but never stray so far that it doesn’t work, which I guess is why it’s so popular:-)
We had really good experiences with Behr Ultra Premium plus (the one with the primer in it too). It covers amazingly well, walls clean up well, and the paint dries fast. We heard lots of great things about Bridesmaid or Best Man aura paint, and then a contractor I knew said that he has worked with both and they are very similar… Behr Ultra Premium plus is like half the price, so we choose to save the money and invest in other house projects. We painted the whole house about a 1.5 half ago and I’m super pleased with it.
We used Seagull Gray for when we wanted gray- it is a beautiful neutral toned gray. Definitely recommend it. I would just go and bring home every paint color swatch that catches your eye at home depot and hang them up and see how they look in your home and lighting. Also… because color mixing is completely computerized you can get any brand color in any brand.
