MI bees, I need you help!!!
We are having an outdoor ceremony/reception with approx 200 guests. All my DIY planning has come down to our last 11 weeks!! After making a list of everything that has to be done on our big day, I just do not have enough time. Does anyone know any reasonable planners in the area? I’ve gotten a few quotes but they all seem to be 700+. We really just need someone for set up. Thanks for all your help.

I am on the other side of MI… on the lake in Muskegon. Honestly, I wouldn’t go the planner route. Have you thought about asking a few friends/family members to take a couple tasks each? You can then mention them in the program and get them small gifts to show appreciation. Way cheaper then a planner who is a stranger.
ETA: DATE TWINS!!!! YAY!!!

I have thought about using family, but our ceremony is set to start at 11:30 am so I’m freaking out. There are alot of things that need to be done the day of such as linens and the programs, etc, I can’t even tell you how big my list is. Why I chose an outdoor morning wedding, I’ll never know. I blame my fiance, I think this was his decision 🙂
I’ve already hired a few “bartenders/hostesses”, and I’m trying to find a extra person / ring leader to have them do it all since I’m paying them already, so we may not need one in the end. I’m just trying to cover all bases.
Planners out here are insanely high, I did all the planning, I found all my own people. I need someone to point and say “put that there” and they want $600-1k. It’s just frustrating.
I hope your wedding is going well. Thanks for the advice. Maybe I’ll start chopping my list in sections to see if I can delegate to a few people.

I think that will be the best bet for you to delegate to a few people. I hope things chill out a little for you! Planning is going well! I am getting so excited!!!! Good luck to you! PM me in the future if you need any help!!!

Hi there… what is your budegt for a wedding coordinator or a a point person for smooth direction on the day of your event?

I used to work for a small company in Ann Arbor called the Betty Brigade — they did all sorts of personal assisting services, including wedding coordination, including DOCs. When I left 3 years ago they were charing $17/hour. I guarantee it is more now, but it might be worth checking out!
I’m planning on asking a former coworker from BB if she would help me with my coordinating. 🙂
