Have you thought about having the reception at a nice hotel restaurant or even just a smaller restaurant in general? Something at the Jefferson would be nice, I’m sure (albeit expensive-but for 25, might be perfect) or I’d look around to see if the Roosevelt, for example, does private parties. I know there’s also a winery close by and maybe some options out in Short Pump area.

What kind of wedding style were you looking for? I live there now!

@Biandi:  Old City Bar is not in the restored train station, it is next to it.  Main Street Station is a separate building and company, though they often work together.

I would check out Old City Bar (aka White House Catering).  My rehearsal dinner will be there and they are catering my reception.  They are super helpful and reasonably priced.  I also second Linden Row Inn!

I am also planning a Richmond wedding from a distance, so feel free to PM me if you have questions.  With the right vendors, you can do almost everything over email.
