i am a collector of snowmen. I love them all. Fiance and I are debating whether these a christmas decorations or winter decorations. This is obviously a very serious debate, and he will find out your opinions if you agree with me

My mom collects snowmen and they come out after thanksgiving and stay up long past xmas.

both! They are not exclusively Christmas because they still look appropriate in later winter. I really like the snowman’s flexibility!

I say winter, but mainly because here in Australia it is summer at Christmas time so snowmen just look silly 😛

My grandmother has an outrageous amount of snowman decorations….they stay out from right after Thanksgiving until about February. She just adds a few Santas and reindeer to the mix for a few weeks around Christmas. They are for all winter!

OneDayMrsL: Oh, I say the opposite but for a similar reason! I live in a city in New Zealand where it never snows, so the only time I see snowmen is when people put up fake ones in shopping malls at Christmas time. Thus, to me, snowmen are Christmas decorations, even though Christmas is in summer.

Well I’ve never heard of winter decorations, just Christmas decorations. So I say the latter.

Who decorates for winter?

julies1949: Me!!! Because I want to keep my snowmen up longer than christmas. And winter decorations give me an excuse!!!
Thanks for everyone’s opinions on our fun debate lol.

julies1949: People who decorate for fall, and spring, or want to keep Christmas decorations up longer!
I vote winter because on the rare occasions we get enough snow for snowmen, it is always after Christmas.

I think Snowmen are fine for all winter unless they are obviously Christmas-y, like with a Santa hat or something.
