You were married with this band and it will always be important to you. Relationships are not perfect, life is not perfect and your ring isnt perfect but the love for each other when he gave you that ring WAS perfect so keep it girl. Ask for some money back from the jeweler but keep the ring.

Moral of my post was…if it isnt always perfect your love at that moment was…enjoy and embrace it 🙂

@Nat_can:  I would just keep it as is. It has the sentiment behind it already and the dent gives it character that you can’t get back once it fixed. I say embrace it. I understand you completely as I’m a perfectionist and super picky with rings.

I just just leave it, you didnt pay 1,000 for the engraving, plus its on the inside, really not a big deal.  Our ingraving is not perfect either…. I dont think its a big deal, have them redo it or just leave it be.

I’d probably just leave it alone. I don’t think any engraving is ever perfect, at least none that I’ve seen. I doubt you’ll get 50% money back, but a band re-do could probably be negotiated. Are you sure it’s worth it tho?

This looks like hand engraving? That’s part of the charm of it.. it’s not laser perfect. I would not try to redo it.

I don’t think that engraving merrits a 50% discount. Sine it isn’t perfecct, getting some money back would be nice. Otherwise, I would personally just keep it as is since its on the inside.

As one poster mentioned, the hand written look is kind of charming and quaint.

It’s on the inside and nobody will notice it, not even you or your new husband unless you take it off every day or once in a while and look at the engraving… And I don’t see any of you actually doing that.

Personally, I do not think the things in the picture are a big deal. It is hand engraved, and it is not as though the dent is visible.
