- Wedding: April 2013
OK I need your help here bees!
I recently found out that the place we planned to have our wedding at is not going to happen. The woman who owns the property has a racist husband and a lot of other dramatic issues. So we are moving our wedding to our church. Last minute since we are getting married in mid April :/ So I need help with decor ideas.
We’ve already spent all of our decor budget on plans for an outdoor wedding. Mason jars with tea candles, banners and a rose arch
Bunch of different items. I printed up a ton of family photos from his side and mine and made up a banner that said “family tree” and was going to hang them all from one of the magnolia trees and put the banner up in the tree. Well now the venue is inside at this location
Now our budget is pretty much gone for decorations since we’d already bought them for the outdoor wedding. Our centerpieces were going to be simple, flower bowls pretty much with pretty pink flowers floating in them. We had everything mapped and planned out and now it’s all changed and I just have no clue what to do with the new space and with such little time.
The ceiling in the church is not pretty, lots of beams and such. They do have a great sound system and light system but nothing as far as decor goes. I was thinking perhaps on the stage make a super long slideshow to be played on the screens as a back drop for before the ceremony and during the reception and maybe just have our monogram on it during the actual ceremony, besides that I have no clue. I also don’t know if the slide show would be corny.
I need your help on decorating, any good cost effective ideas to make this church look like a wedding place?
