Why not just keep them as-is? They’re neutral so they won’t clash with your colors and the patina is beautiful.

(and I don’t know of a paint that you’re talking about–maybe someone else does, but I think you’re sort of wading into art restoration area there)

I agree they’re so pretty I wouldn’t paint them.  I don’t know of any paint that would come off without having to just paint over them.  I like the idea of putting a colored paper under the glass to incorporate your wedding colors.

Yeah the only ways I could think of to get paint off (paint thinner, power sander, etc) would also take the finish off of the frames leaving you with just bare wood.  I would agree the best bet is colored paper under the glass to incorperate the wedding colors.

I looooove the idea of putting colored paper under the glass instead of painting them!

Those are adorable!

I agree with everyone else that the frames themselves are neutral enough that they’d go with just about everything, and paper or fabric under glass for colour.

LOVE this idea (and might be a copy cat!). I think you can’t go wrong either way by painting them, leaving as is, just putting pretty paper over the glass.
