We are getting married in a ballroom and I am wanting to use a wood trellis arch for a backdrop for the ceremony so pictures wont look funny with the wood border that is on the ballroom walls. I just cant find any good ideas on how to decorate it. My theme is burlap and lace and the bridesmaid dresses are a mocha/latte color and my dress is an ivory/champagne color. This is similar to what the arch looks like http://www.event-warehouse.com/assets/images/trellisarch.jpg

@Sweetescape1976: I like those, but i’m not sure how to do the fabric around it, the arch is round at the top

You can still drape burlap or an ivory/mocha/latte fabric on a round arch. Just drape the fabric over the top of the arch, then do a swag of fabric on each side at the top. This one has a pretty elaborate floral arrangement , but of you used burlap you could do a wreath, sawg etc made of lace. If you use ivory/mocha/latte fabric, you could make a decorative piece out of bulap . Thrift shops, K Mart, Burlington Coat Factory etc can all be a source of inexpensive drapery panels that you can use for the draping fabric.
Some burlap and lace
you can also just ignore the round part and drape the fabric across it. If your arch isn’t tall enough you can elevate it on some concrete blocks then cover those with the draped fabric.
