I would just say something simple like “Hi! i wanted to RSVP for your wedding but couldn’t find our names. If you could just put it down that we’re coming that would be great, we’re so excited thank you!”

(I assumed you would be calling her…)

I’m not sure why it would be awkward or mean… Simply send an email or call and say “I tried to RSVP online, but our names don’t come up in search. Can you help?”

I’ll fully admit I left 2 guests off the online RSVP who were on the original list. Bride brain, no big deal, we got it worked out!

I would just text/call/email (whichever you’re more comfortable with) the bride/groom and tell them you are “technologically challenged” and can’t figure out how to do it… explain that you put both of your names in and it doesn’t come up. Just act as if you know it must be something you’re doing wrong… they’ll figure it out and realize it was their bad, and you don’t have to awkwardly tell them that you know the truth :).

I would just act like you think it’s a glitch with the website. Let them know that you’re having trouble RSVPing online but that you intend to come. Is it possible that they spelled your names wrong and that’s why it’s not showing up when you search?

yeah, no worries, just phone them – I had people that WERE in there, on my list and all, that couldn’t sign in for some reason – it was just giving them problems – so it could just be a website issue too.  I didn’t take any offense to those people calling me and asking for help, I’m sure your friend won’t either!

Because you received a formal invitation sent to you by mail, I would go the formal, traditional route and take out your own stationery and write the hosts a note accepting their kind invitation.  They’ll LOVE it! 🙂

@allie6113:  🙂  There won’t be any awkward moments involved in doing that, and you may really impress your hosts!

I don’t think it’s awkward to just say hey, we’re so excited to celebrate with you but we had some issues with the online RSVP, so just wanted to tell you to mark us down!

@Brielle:  Just what I was planning to say, but much more timely!
