a friend of mine had a shower and they melted different candy bars in diapers and then made the guests smell the “dirty diaper” and figure out what type of chocolate candy bar it was! everyone loved it!

The last baby shower I went to was pretty typical…

when we arrived we were given a pink [she was having a girl] clothespin. There was a chalkboard that had some words such as “baby, mother, girl” ect. Each time someone said those words and someone else caught them saying it, they got to take the other persons clothes pin – whoever had the most at the end of the night won a prize.

We also played a game where we guessed how many sheets of toilet paper would go around the moms belly.

There was some baby bottles filled with candies, we guessed how many candies were in it,

We played a game similiar to scattergories, but baby/mom related.

I just went to a baby shower where everyone received a small tub of playdough (They individual “serving” size cans of it as party favors for kids.), and we each had to sculpt a baby out of it. Each table chose the best baby, and then the mother chose the winner(s) from those.

It was fun and got everyone interacting. … And I normtally despise shower games, so it takes a lot for me to say that.

Ugh I hate baby shower games! That said… I ended up throwing a lot of baby showers last year so here are a few games that weren’t the same old thing:

We had a onesie decorating station (with paints, stencils, iron-ons, and shirts & onesies in different sizes). Warning: This can get expensive

Mom (& Dad if he’s there) gets “tied” to a chair with streamers & blindfolded (so she can’t help). Guests are blindfolded & given a bottle with whipped cream on the nipple. They have to try to get the nipple in Mom’s mouth. Mom ends up with whipped cream all over her face.

Present Bingo is pretty common but fun. You either have premade bingo cards with different baby items in the boxes, or you let guests fill a blank one in with things they think are likely to be gifted. As mom opens presents, they mark off the ones on their cards.

ABCs… hand out a paper with A __________ B__________ etc… Guests have to fill in each blank with baby related things.
