I bought an organza dress from DB (WG9859). I love it but my seamstress quoted me up to $100 to bustle. Because organza is so delicate, to bustle it will need many points and thread chains to make sure the organza bustles correctly and doesn’t droop. I am on a tight budget and already paid $650 for the dress. Does anyone know of some better alternatives to bustling or has anyone has experience bustling this dress. Thank you!

Unfortunately, I won’t be much help, but I just wanted to say that that dress is lovely.

if you didn’t want to bustle at all, you could always do a wrist loop with the train, like this:
if it wouldnt drive you nuts to be holding it all night (and if the train is long enough not to pick the rest of the dress up)

my Future Sister-In-Law did the wrist loop – it was very very pretty and elegant especially when she was dancing – but i think it would drive me crazy to be holding my train all night.
here are some pics of the wrist loops – i actually really love the way they look
Did you use a wrist loop? Pictures, please!

I agree. I think that the wrist loop would drive me crazy too. Also, although the top layer is organza, the bottom layer is a bit heavy so I would get a biscep workout all night! Not fun! I think I may have to bite the bullet and get a bustle. After all, you only get married once! Hopefully! Thanks ladies!
