Okay, so I am looking at a big pouffy wedding dress with a semi-cathedral train (see pic), and I am unsure of what style petticoat/Crinoline I need. I’ve had experience with a 3-hoop petticoat, and found it difficult to sit in, so I was leaning towards a hoopless skirt. As I look shop around (on the internet), I’m not sure if I need really pouffy, regular pouffy, or a “train” crinoline. Could I get away with just a ballgown style one, or do I NEED the train built in?

When you have the dress on without a crinoline is it near the shape that you want? Or does the dress material need something to lay on? You might try to go to a bridal shop and try on crinolines with your dress. And see which look you like! 🙂

That’s a good idea. I bought my dress online, but I have talked to my local bridal shop. They said I can bring my dress in and they will work to find the right crinoline. I have also made arrangements for them to do any alterations that may be needed.
