So for my reception I am wearing converses. I found the perfect pair in the blue-tones pallete, which is perfect because my colors are black, ivory and cobalt blue. The shoes are a light blue-ish color and I want to make the cobalt-y. I did some research and it is much easier to modge-podge with glitter than it is to strip and re-dye them. Has anyone every modge-podged their shoes already mixed with the glitter? Thats what the instructions I found said to do. Also, any helpful hits or pointers because I have never done this before. Here are the shoes and the color I want them to be. Thanks!!

Why don’t you just get some that are more of a cobalt color?

I’ve done it and it’s super easy! You will need way more glitter than you think you need and seal them with a second coat mod podge and then a coat of hair spray to prevent the glitter from falling off. Make sure you tape off any areas you don’t want glittered because it is very hard to clean once it’s dry. ALSO!! It will require several coats of glitter to get full coverage so don’t get discouraged.
