I hope someone could give me some insight into what a reasonable catering budget would be.
I am getting married where I grew up in Vermont and using the American Legion as our reception venue. They do not have a contracted caterer so we get to choose our own which I was excited about but now I am just stressed about it. The problem is that I do not know what a reasonable budget would be. I already have a cake and a bar and bartender set up (we are doing a cash bar, my fiance and I do not have the budget for an open bar) so I am trying to find a caterer for a buffet style meal, with American food and most likely appetizers. We are expecting about 100 people and I would prefer to keep my cost under $30 pp but less is always good since I am a student and on a pretty tight budget.
I am not sure if that is reasonable though. Does anyone have any insight on what would be considered reasonable per person budget for this in VT. Also if anyone has had their wedding in VT and knows of any caterers in central Vermont that would be awesome.
