If you are going rustic have you considered lace or burlap table runners?

For a more rustic vibe for your centerpieces… what about:

Tree trunks/slabs

You can get them from wholesalers or off of etsy… you could have 3 or 4 at the center of the table or have them spaced out along the table if you like that better.

OR

A crate like centerpiece…

(image is pretty big).

I think they are charming and rustic. Plus both could use vases with a single flower.

We are using silver trays to group small vases on circular tables, its basically the same look but not so shiny. Its definitely a little bit rustic but mostly just pretty.

Ignore the burlap, and think of another maybe color-appropriate table runner underneath, but what about weathered planks?

Or hollowed out logs?

Sorry, getting a very woodsy/rustic connection I think.

Or you could just have your vases/vessels wrapped in lace & twine, that would add a rustic element.

@Nic01:  I saw a burlap wreath in Michael’s (a chain hobby store.) It might have been the ugliest thing I have ever seen. They were charging $79 for it.It made my list of Things That Make Me Go Hunh?

I am with your mother. Look, you can have surfaces with nubby texture but it doesn’t have to be burlap.

For fabric, a linen or linen-like weave would be nice. Linen itself is expensive. You can find linen/cotton/poly, fabric stores are full of fabulous fabrics! I would buy fabric in the right lengths and steam iron hems, wouldn’t even bother to sew runners.

@Nic01:  I think that depends on the other decor… if you already have a lot of white, go with pink… if your venue is darker go with white… or both.
