Why would you find her dress? Is that a typical thing? I don’t know a lot about weddings so that may be the norm and I just don’t realize. When my Future Mother-In-Law asked what she should wear I told her “not white” that has been the extent of my input.

So can you just tell her that you trust that she’ll find soething lovely and let her do it herself? Then she gets something she likes and you don’t have to stress. And why is your mom waiting? Are they going to match or something?

As far as looking for dresses – have you or your Future Mother-In-Law looked online?

@LauraHF:  What if you told her, “ok, I’m out of ideas, go ahead and pick whatever you find that you like and can wear.” And tell you mom to pick whatever she wants whenever she finds it. There’s no need for her to wait for the MOG.

Could she wear a cotton slip under to alleviate the irritation?

I would just tell her if you want it to be long or short and let her find her own dress.

I think it’s great you want to help her, but if she’s so picky, what does she really want? Has she told you or even sent you some examples of styles she likes that might possibly be found in a fabric she can wear? Long, short, sleeves or sleeveless? How old is she and how is he built? Are you thinking cocktail style or more formal?

Has she actually tried anything on yet? How much does she want to spend?

ItIt’s sound alike the easiest solution for your Mother-In-Law is to by fabric se likes and have a dress maker make her a dress.

Have you checked out eShakti? They have lots of pretty cotton dresses that can be custom made.
