@fdlsam13:  Do any of your friends have the miniature tractors for their kids that you could borrow?

I think the wedding party would be too heavy to haul in a trailer but you could have them go ahead of you pulling ropes attached to the front of the tractors.

@fdlsam13:  Did you want the decor ideas to include linens and centerpieces? or have you nailed down those decisions already?

What kind of farms do you have? Is there any way to tie that in?

It would be easier to use the blue for your flowers if you are planning on using any, and use the black and silver for linens. You could use a silver, or grey, cloth with black runner, or napkins, or both.

@fdlsam13:  Not much to elaborate on. I’m not a farm girl myself , so if there is something more appropriate than rope, go ahead and change that.

I would have the girls on one rope, the guys on another , back into the reception room pulling on the rope. One girl or guy  starts pulling the rope, they  pulls in the next person etc etc . The two of you are riding the tractors come in last.

You could make up a collage of lyrics from tractor songs

Farm Girl by Jason Meadows

“When I saw her do a wheelie on a John Deere tractor, I knew right then that I had to have her.”

Jon Deere Green by Jo Diffie

“And the whole town said the boy should have used red. But it looked good to Charlene… in John Deere Green.”

International Harvester by Craig Morgan

“This big-wheeled wide load ain’t goin’ any faster. So just smile and wave and tip your hat, to the man up on the tractor.”

She Thinks y Tractor’s Sexy by Kenny Chesney

She likes the way it’s pullin’ while we’re tillin’ up the land. She’s even kind of crazy ’bout my farmer’s tan. She’s the only one who really understands what gets me: she thinks my tractor’s sexy!”

Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean

“And I can take you for a ride on my big green tractor. We can go slow or make it go faster. Down through the woods and out to the pasture. ‘Long as I’m with you it really don’t matter.”

I think your idea for centerpieces is great.

To make it more country, rather than use a mirror for a base, you could use a wood slab, or a square of sod or wheatgrass in a tray.

The toy tractors will be so cute. You could put a single large flower like a mum or hydrangea in a quart mason jar then add some votives in the little half pint jars around it.
