Anyone have advice for printing textured paper from a printer? I have a canon pixma ink jet and its a good printer but my invitations have some texture (they are sorta bumpy) and the font comes out looking kinda faded/ there are tiny white lines through the letters. Anyone know how to fix this? Is there a diff setting I can use? Thanks!!

i’m pretty sure any at home printer is gonna print like that, since the paper is textured. even some professional printers will print like that on textured paper. it’s the nature of using paper like that. you could try playing with the paper settings on the printer? like, go into the paper options and see if you can find a paper “type” that works?

thanks for the suggestion – I will play around with it! I just don’t want the invitations to end up looking cheap

Have you played around with the settings at all? Sometimes you have to go through and make sure that the printing quality is set to “best” (for mine I was also able to do “black ink only”, I thought that would help make sure it’s dark). You maybe also be able to select the type of paper you are using, or atleast get close to it (for my hp printer it allowed you to select from a variety of hp paper types, but they also had listed “other specialty paper”).
Here is the best closeup picture I have of mine, the paper they are on is REALLY bumpy because it has flower seeds in it. I thought they came out quite well though. The large flower shaped paper and the blue card below it are both on the flowerseed paper. Sorry you can’t see all but you can see some of the letters:
